Memories Fade…but Stories Endure

Anne Spry and Cheri Battrick–Mentoring Multiple Memoirs

Meet your storytelling companions. Anne Spry and Cheri Battrick remind you that your loved ones may need to rely on you to capture their stories. Those stories that they tell so well but would never think of recording or saving for their descendants. But you know how important their life stories are. And so do we. We would like to make the storytelling and story saving process so easy and effortless you’ll be glad you found out about Personal Chapters.

Anne Spry has spent decades writing people’s stories–first as a newspaper editor and publisher and lately as a book publisher. She wanted to develop a method to help people record their loved ones’ personal histories that would not overwhelm them or terrify them. So, she started Personal Chapters with the help of  Cheri, a gifted storyteller and product designer.

Cheri is your go-to gal for the healing aspects of writing personal and family histories. She has also helped families in poverty, victims of abuse, and many others with pain. A deeply spiritual person, Cheri has a helping and loving heart and is a great mentor for memoirs.

Anne and Cheri’s message to everyone is, “You can do this for your friend or family member, even if they are in ill health. You don’t have to be a seasoned writer. All you have to do is open the Personal Chapters website, access our built-in recorder, press play and start talking to your loved one about their life. We’ll transcribe the recording and return a print document of the transcription. We can also provide you with an edited version of the audio recording so you can always listen to their voices.”
